Completing the attendance update, and ending relationships

After each session, we ask you to complete an attendance update in your Dashboard under the Awaiting Updates section, which should just take a minute or two to complete.

The update questions let us know if the client attended, whether the client would like to continue sessions, if they are able to meet in the same weekly space or prefer a different time, and if you want to reserve an ongoing slot for them to prevent any other clients from booking that time (find out about how reserved slots work here).

We recommend discussing with the client in their initial session if they wish to continue for further sessions. This also allows you to recap the 48-hour cancellation and rearrangement policy each client agrees to when booking their initial session (full T&Cs for Clients found here), and to recap the automated payment process for follow-up sessions so you can be sure clients are aware of what will happen next.

If a client is unsure if they wish to continue, we recommend selecting the "No, I don't want to rebook" option. The client will still be able to log in to their Client Dashboard to book a follow-up session if they decide they would like to return.

Please do not book any sessions that the client has not explicitly agreed to. Any session booked on the system will have a payment processed unless it is cancelled with more than 48 hours' notice.

If you do not book a follow-up session for a client this may cancel any existing reserved slot in place (a message will pop up at the top of the screen confirming if the reserved slot has been removed). If this happens, but you want to keep the reserved slot in place, you can manually add the reserved slot back by following the instructions here.

If a client will not be continuing sessions with you, you can mark the relationship as 'ended' by following the instructions here. This hides the client from your Clients list.

We also have guidance here noting what to do if you feel a client would be better helped by a different therapist or counsellor with experience in specific issues or approaches.
