📍 We are currently focusing on applications from therapists who have availability for in-person sessions and are based in major towns and cities across the UK, including (but not limited to):
Bath, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Sheffield, Swindon, and Wolverhampton.
Please note that we cannot work with therapists who are currently under investigation or facing disciplinary action.
We do not accept Student, Graduate or Trainee memberships with any professional body. For BACP, we accept both Registered and Accredited members, but do not currently accept any Individual or Student members.
We have more information here about what types of therapists Harley Therapy Platform may be a good fit for.
An application does not guarantee acceptance to the Platform. We select members based on client demand in the local area, as well as on the factors outlined in this article - please read this article in full (as well as the article linked above about how to know if you are a good fit), so you can decide if the Platform would suit your way of working, and to avoid any disappointment if you don't meet the criteria.
The type of therapists we accept to join through Harley Therapy Platform are:
Caring: Therapists aligned to us are respectful, polite and compassionate towards their clients and to our team.
Reliable: Therapists keep their diary up to date at all times and honour new bookings. Therapists who repeatedly reject client bookings due to inaccurate availability will usually result in an automatic account pause due to the negative effect on clients embarking on therapy.
Consistent: Therapists communicate clearly with their clients with regards to how they work, what to expect, upcoming breaks etc and work within this defined therapeutic frame.
Work in-depth: Therapists form meaningful, ongoing therapeutic relationships. Clients who contact us will be expecting the opportunity to forge a therapeutic connection, often over a long period of time. The Platform, therefore, is not suited to one-off consultations or very short-term (less than 6 sessions) work. Therapists’ profiles may not be actively marketed where client return rate is low or average relationship lengths are consistently short.
Self-sufficient: As independent practitioners, therapists will manage their own diaries, including rescheduling, refunds and correspondence between sessions.
Tech-savvy: To use our practice management system, therapists are adept with IT and make use of our automated systems to help with most questions.
