To start with, you will need to make sure you meet our requirements for therapists applying to join. These currently include :

  • a registration or accreditation with one of the professional bodies listed here.

  • a suitable quiet and private space to work from for in-person sessions

  • a high-quality internet connection for online sessions

  • insurance to practice privately

  • ongoing supervision in place

If you meet these requirements, we would ask that you also review the list below to make sure you would be able to work within the systems we have in place on Harley Therapy, as well as the Terms & Conditions for both therapists and clients.

Some important points to note include :

  • Ability to work in person from a suitable therapy room : we are currently only inviting therapists to join who have availability for in-person sessions in handpicked locations across the UK. This currently does not include Walk & Talk sessions.

  • Ability to confirm bookings with 24 hours notice : we have information here about how far in advance clients can book a session and the different notice options available. As most of our clients are looking to start sessions as soon as possible, it's not possible to require more than 24 hours' notice for new client bookings.

  • Availability : you would need to commit to updating your availability on Harley Therapy regularly to ensure this stays up to date, to avoid cancelling or rearranging initial sessions booked by clients due to therapist unavailability. We have a help section dedicated to the Calendar and managing availability here

  • Cancellation Policy : clients can cancel (or request a rearrangement) up to 48 hours before their session start time without being charged. For follow-up sessions, payments are processed automatically 48 hours before the session start time in line with the cancellation policy. It is not possible to work with different cancellation policies on the Platform due to the automated processes in place.

  • Commission Rates : our commission rates are noted in the article here, and we also have more information here about how the payment system works.

  • Reviews & Retention : when joining the Platform, therapists will need to agree to client reviews being published online, as well as 'statistics' being shown in their public profiles including details like the number of clients who return for ongoing sessions. It is not possible to opt out of these features.

  • Technical Ability : in building the Platform, we have looked to make sure the website is as user-friendly as possible, however, due to the nature of therapy work, there are a lot of different tools and options available within the Therapist Dashboard. While the team is on hand to help when needed, we are a self-service Platform, so you would need to use the resources available in your account to find guides, instructions and how-to articles for managing your account and client bookings.
