Why am I not getting more bookings?

Written by Iain

It is important you create a profile that reflects the best of what you offer.

Regularly update your profile to align with client search filters and ensure your accreditations, availability, and other details are accurate. Additionally, consider adding a short, professional video introducing yourself and explaining your therapeutic approach.

Order your list of approaches and specialities so that clients can be sure you are happy to work with their specific set of concerns.

Use the Specialisms tab to select all issues you can work with, ensuring your profile appears in more searches.

Make sure your biographical profile reflects your personality, style of working, experience, and interests. Discuss your approaches even though you have selected them in your listed skills.

Address common client questions in your bio and highlight both online and in-person session options to make clients feel more comfortable booking a session.

Remember that you are writing your profile for clients, not other therapists. So try to use clear, easy to understand language over a scholarly tone or one full of psychological terms.

Cost of therapy is a factor for some clients so it's worth understanding the context they'll see your fees in when they see all therapist search results to make sure you are not significantly more expensive than therapists that have similar approaches, experience and qualifications as yourself.

Finally, do consider a professional photo that again reflects your personality and consider creating a welcoming profile video as another visual element to connect with potential clients.
