When a client books a new session with you, you will be sent an email and, if you have opted in to receive important alerts via SMS, a text message with the booking details.

1. Review the Session Details

When you log into your Dashboard, you will see your new and unconfirmed sessions listed on the right-hand side of the page :

Clicking on an unconfirmed session will bring up the full session details page including the date, time and location, as well as the session type (Individual, Couple, Family etc.) and the name/s of the attendee/s :

It is very important that you log in to your account to review bookings promptly.

This is partly so new client bookings can be confirmed as soon as possible to avoid any anxiety for clients waiting to know if their session is going ahead, but also so if there are any issues with the session, these can be addressed quickly, reducing any possible inconvenience or disappointment for clients.

Please always keep in mind how you would wish to be treated if you or a loved one were a client seeking support and help with your mental health.

2. Check what issues the Client is seeking help with

If this is a new client, we recommend first reviewing the client's self-assessment information to check what they are seeking help with, and if this is something you would be able to assist with.

You can find a client's self-assessment questionnaire by clicking on the Relationship and then clicking on the Assessment :

Please note, that if you are logging into your account very quickly after the booking was made, the client may not yet have had time to add detailed information to their self-assessment.

If you do not yet have enough information available to decide if you are able to help, we would recommend waiting a little while to see if the client adds further information. If they do not add further information, we have information available here about what we would recommend.

We have information here about what to do if you do not feel that you are the best fit for a client, or if you are not able to help with the issues the client is seeking help with.

3. Confirm the Client's session

Once you have reviewed the client's self-assessment questionnaire, you can confirm the booking by clicking the purple Confirm Session button in the session details page :

As soon as you confirm a new booking, the client will be sent a confirmation email with the full session details (time, date, online session details or the address for in-person sessions, and your contact details) confirming that the session is going ahead at the time they have booked.

Please only confirm a session if you are available at the time booked by the client, and can help with the issues they are seeking help with.

Cancellations & Rearrangements

We have information available here regarding cancelling sessions, and here regarding rearranging bookings.
