Will my full address be shown publicly?

How will my in-person location be shown in my public profile? Can I switch off the map feature?

Your full address will not be shown publicly - only the town/city name and the postcode will be displayed in your public profile.

When a client books a session, their initial booking notification email will only note the town name and postcode (the same as shown in your profile). However when you confirm the client's booking, they will be sent a confirmation email with the full session details, including the full address and any directions you have included when creating the location.

As an example, the address below will be listed as "London, W1G 9PF" in the therapist's public profile :

If the therapist decides to add the Label shown below ("Harley Street"), then the location would be displayed as "Harley Street, W1G 9PF" in the therapist's public profile instead, as the Label replaces the town/city name :

Labels can be added to specify the area of the town or city you are based in to make it easier for clients to spot the therapists available near them.

To give some examples, if you are based in London, adding the label "Battersea" or "Brixton" etc. will allow local clients to find your Profile more easily. In Manchester, you may want to specify that you are based in "Ancoats" or "Northern Quarter" etc.

A map will be shown in your public profile which pinpoints the centre of your postcode - this usually does not pinpoint the therapist's exact location and is just a tool to give clients an idea of where you are based so they can see if they can travel to that location.

The example below shows the map that would be displayed for the Harley Street example :

We cannot switch the maps off, as clients do need to be able to see if they can feasibly travel to the location prior to booking their initial session, however, the therapist's exact address is rarely pinpointed, and this usually only occurs in very small postcode areas.
