Due to unprecedented demand, we are currently not accepting any new applications.

So that we can attend to clients and our current team of therapists, we are not able to answer any questions from new applicants.

We also cannot share any set date for re-opening applications, as we are prioritising therapists in specific areas first based on client demand.

Our previous requirements for joining can be found below in case you are interested in joining in the future.

You can sign up to our waiting lists via the live chat pop-up on this page, or our Apply page here - this will allow us to contact you when therapists in your local area are able to join.

Thank you for your understanding.

We are currently only accepting new applications from psychotherapists, psychologists and counsellors with availability for in-person sessions in UK locations due to unprecedented demand to join the Platform. We are at capacity in several locations, so your application may be rejected. We are currently not accepting new applications for locations in Central London, Brighton, Hove, or Barry.

In-person sessions should be offered for the duration of your time on the Platform. (You can and should offer online and phone availability in addition to this but we are not able accept applications for online-only work due to client demand.)

Please note that an application does not guarantee acceptance to the Platform. We select members based on client demand and on the factors below. Do read the rest of this article fully before submitting your profile to check if the Platform would suit your way of working and to avoid any disappointment if you don't meet the criteria.

The type of therapists we accept to work with are:

  • Caring. Therapists aligned to us are respectful, polite and compassionate towards their clients and to our team.

  • Reliable. Therapists keep their diary up to date at all times and honour new bookings. Therapists who reject bookings unavoidably and repeatedly, will usually result in an automatic account pause due to the negative effect to clients embarking on therapy.

  • Consistent. Therapists communicate clearly with their clients with regards to how they work, what to expect, upcoming breaks etc and work within this defined therapeutic frame.

  • Work in-depth. Therapists form meaningful ongoing therapeutic relationships. Clients that contact us will be expecting the opportunity to forge a therapeutic connection, often over a long period of time. The Platform therefore is not suited to one-off consultations or short term work. Therapists’ profiles may not be actively marketed where client return rate and average sessions are short.

  • Self-sufficient. As independent practitioners, therapists will manage their own diaries including rescheduling, refunds and correspondence in between sessions.

  • Tech-savvy. To use our practice management system, therapists are adept with IT and make use of our automated bot to help with most questions.

To join the Harley Therapy Platform, you will need to have :

  • insurance to practice privately

  • ongoing supervision

  • a clean, quiet and professional room you practice from (including for online sessions)
