If a client oversteps boundaries in such a way that you feel it would be best to cease working with them, the Therapist to Client Terms & Conditions outline that you have the right to bring sessions to a close and to terminate your work together.
If you decide it is best to stop working with a client, please ensure they are made aware. You can then mark the relationship as ended on the system, delete their reserved slot, and cancel any future sessions that have been booked on the system.
If there have been significant issues with boundaries, please also contact the Harley Therapy team to let us know what is occurring. This can aid us in responding to the client if they reach out as it ensures we are on the same page and have an understanding of any significant issues. This also means we are aware of why future bookings need to be cancelled if the client looks to book a new session with you.
In cases where you are unsure what would be the best course of action, we would recommend discussing with your supervisor in the first instance as they would be best placed to offer clinical advice. In some cases, you may also wish to contact your professional body, to check their guidance and recommendations.
